On my ps2 the lens isent moving, so i doesent say disk read error the ps2 just keeps spinning the disk and nothing elese happins, i think that when i had to reconnect the matalic ribbon to the botton of the ps2 form the top case i might have unplogged something, can somebody help me out?

P.S. My ps2 is one of the first ones that came out and i had to take it apart and fix it about 4 times.

If the lens doesn't move, then maybe the motor is gone bad. Try manually moving the lens to the back of the console, the power on and check if it moves it to the front. If not, then check the cable from the motor to the board to see if it is damaged, or not in place properly. If all is good in that department, then the motor may be bad and need replacement.
