Playstation 2 cd-drive will not open

Hi,

I have dropped my PS2 and now the Disk Drive will not open fully - can anyone give me some advice as to how to fix this?

Hey Kieren,

thats exactly what happened to me aq while ago.

I opened my PS2 and located the DVD drive. I noticed that the tray was out of it's track.

I removed the top of the DVD-drive and readjusted it.

Be aware that you will void you warranty if you open your PS2 and watch out for the thin silver tape that connects the PS2 lid to the main unit because it's a mess to reconnect.

my cdrom thing was jamed so u pulled it out and slammed it back in and tryed to play a game it did not work. so i hit the button to open it and it some how worked and u should not open it up cause u could damage it more and then u cann not return it if u open it
